This book in 6 words:
loved story idea, but got repetitive
Why did I read this? And am I glad I did?
This came up on a suggestion via Amazon (I think) and well look at that cover! I wanted a lot more out of this, but I’m still glad I read it. The mythology isn’t well explained, but it doesn’t take away from the story. I liked the concept even though it was predictable. The added mystery of who killed Jamie’s parents was a nice addition. Overall, the character interaction made up for it and it was a nice quick escape read. I really liked that this was a first person POV through Jamie’s eyes. Ethan and Jamie were funny, cute, and annoying. My only issue was with how repetitive the story was specially the sex scenes (if I had to read about them opening one more condom packet… and why did the vampires need to use condoms?).

Brief Summary
Can Jamie and Ethan overcome their hatred for each other before the vampire marriage they are cursed into kills them both? Jamie McHale has always hated vampire prince Ethan Connor, and Ethan loathes him right back. One dark and stormy night the two men tangle in a violent altercation that leaves them somehow bound together in vampire marriage. It becomes very clear that the magic of the marriage bond will get what it wants for them, regardless of the men’s feelings toward the situation. The curse wants them together, and as they spend time with each other they start to wonder if this really was a curse at all.

- not only do I love this song, but it perfect for this book!

Tara,
This book was not on my reading list for the month of Dec, but I’m so glad I squeezed it in because it was just too funny. I couldn’t stop snickersnorting through it.
You are right, it was very repetitive. I think some of the same exact phrases were used throughout, and Jamie did a lot of “realizing.”
Still, loads of fun, but the condom thing was so annoying.
