When I’m Not Reading {5} Amanda – My Boys

Missie wants to know what us mysterious book bloggers do when we aren’t reading or blogging and quite frankly I want to know too! Every Thursday Missie (The Unread Reader) will post the rules and a place to link your response!

When I manage to extract myself from the clutches of graduate school, you will usually find me spending time with my boys: Kyle and Curly.

Meet Curly.  He is my super awesome 13 year old trouble maker puppy.

I love him, despite all his garbage eating, kleenex shredding, stuffed animal slobbering antics.  He’s starting to get too old for walks and car rides (even though he still loves these), so mainly he’s just my kitchen broom when I’m cooking, my sappy dog face fill when I’m watching TV, and my annoying “glued to my side” dog when he thinks he hasn’t gotten enough attention or when I have food.  Basically, he is my companion to spoil whenever I’m at home, and my best doggy friend.

Next, it’s Kyle!  He is my super awesome boyfriend.

Kyle and I have been a couple for 4 years.  We met while working at the county government center among the boxes in the dungeon (aka basement).  I was a file clerk and he was a “records technician” so any time I needed an old file (which was strangely often), I had to make him pull the box it was located in.  Our courtship was a whirlwind of writing and leaving post-it notes in random places for each other, picture adventures, orange muffins, and tickle wars.  Books to me are like video games to Kyle, so reading is my thing, although he does love and got me to read the Harry Potter series.  We’re both kind of nerdy, but it’s an awesome kind of nerdy.
