This feature isn’t nearly as creepy as it sounds… at least I hope not.
Here is where I shine the spotlight on a fellow book blogger
that has earned a spot in my GoogleReader.
Featuring KMont @ Lurv a la Mode!!
I started following Lurv a la Mode long before I even started a book blog. I think I may have been looking at WordPress tags for book reviews or something along those lines… regardless of how I found her, I’m glad I did! KMont reviews mostly Romance, she also throws in some Fantasy and YA from time to time. It’s not uncommon for me to read one of her reviews and then head off to make my TBR pile longer
PS. Her interview answers had me laughing out loud so please be sure to check them out!

Mini Interview
1. Why did you start a book blog?
I was a relatively new mom who’d been holding off the wearying siege of You Shalt Not Have Any Time To Yourself Nor Any Hobbies to Call Your Own. Just so we’re clear, that was totally a natural guilty response that I think a lot of mom’s experience. It’s great when you realize how crap it is.
I was tired all the time…still am. My job was stressful then and sucked giant ones. The siege was winning. When I realized that my fiction reading, and I used to read about five to ten a week since age 12, had almost stopped completely, I decided some kind of log would help get me motivated again. I’d thought about doing a book blog well before this but wondered if I had enough hot air to sustain one. Turns out I did.
2. If you could have dinner with any author (dead or alive) who would it be?
Kim Harrison, author of my most favorite urban fantasy books, the Hollows series. I’d settle for shaking her hand, but dinner would be lovely. But would I stop jabbering at her like an idiot long enough to actually experience it? Hmmm…
3. Do you have a secret favorite book?
A guilty pleasure? God yes. Two Johanna Lindsey books. 1. Secret Fire, where a young English beauty is captured by a Russian prince, drugged into sexual submission and everything (I think he was Russian. Hell, I’m probably really screwing that part up). 2. Fires of Winter, about a Saxon (I think she was Saxon…oh dear) lady kidnapped by a Viking lord. In both books, the guys are abominable asshats and treat their ladies horribly, yet I’ve read them over and over.
Guess the secret’s out, huh?
4. Sum up your day, your life, or yourself using just six words:
Sarcastic, supportive mom/friend seeking incredible reads. (oops, that was seven…and it sounded like a dating site blurb)
5. Do you have any advice for fellow book bloggers?
Have fun. If you’re not having fun, it’s not worth it. Blog how you want to. Don’t stress. Be supportive of others and speak out on what matters to you – and don’t be afraid to do it.
Thank you so much KMont!!
Be sure you guys head over and check out her blog!

Great post & interview – I love Kmont’s Lurv a la Mode blog. Great reviews and cover posts! I’m a big fan of Kim Harrison too – I think she would be at the top of the list for authors I want to have dinner with – though I’m sure I would be doing a lot of fan girl squee-ing!
I am following her now. What a great site, thanks for bringing it to my attention
Words put together with a / count as one! So you’re still at six.
Never heard of this blog before so thanks for sharing!
