amazingly heart breaking and always intense
Mini Review (Blood Promise)
I gave both Blood Promise and Spirit Bound 4 and 1/2 stars for slightly different reasons. This book (the fourth in the Vampire Academy series) was completely depressing. I cried a lot. Now to be fair, I get pretty attached to characters and what Rose had to go through in this one was really tough to read. While I hate the author at the time… I really appreciate when they can play with emotions in such a way. (I’m not sure my husband shares this gratitude lol).
We deal with family issues, love issues, politics, and keeping tough promises. Could I do what Rose does? No. I would probably still be curled up in a ball in my room (Hell I hated just reading it!). I think this was a great addition to the series and we’re really watching Rose grow up and deal with adult decisions.

Mini Review (Spirit Bound)
I really loved this edition to the series… maybe not as much as the first book, but a very close second. Now that we’re back at the Royal Court, we’re dealing with more politics along with the continuation of friendship and romance drama. There are some HOLY SH#T moments mixed with plenty emotionally heart-wrenching scenes with some fun thrown in for good measure. While this ended with one hell of a cliffhanger… it wasn’t as terrible as I expected and I may be able to survive until December.

I’ve been wanting to read these books real bad! I hope I get a chance to soon!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and in response to your question, I don’t know if it will be a series, I haven’t heard anything about it. The ending is not really a cliffhanger but it does leave a lot of room for more books. I def. recommend reading it!
I am hitting books 3 and 4 this weekend! Sunday should be a good reading day for me–I am about halfway through 3 and already feeling so bad for Rose. Can’t wait to finish
@ Kate : I HIGHLY recommend waiting until the final book comes out in December before starting this series
Thank you! I’m looking forward to reading this even more!
@ Felicia : Woot! Can’t wait to talk to you about them!
I loved it!!!!!!!!!! Do you want her to be with D or A? I am on the fence!
@ Brandi Kosiner : D all the way!! He is perfect for her! That being said… I love A and really hope he find someone for him
Can’t wait until December!! Have you seen that she is continuing the world but with another POV?
I have to agree with your thoughts on the Vampire Academy series. I had a few heartbreak moments of my own reading these books which I didn’t expect, especially since I had ignored them in the beginning.
I do still have a pit in my stomach though, waiting for the last book to come out.
@ Hannah : I’m still kicking myself for not waiting to start this series until after the last book was out
