Shane finally bought me (and put together) a second bookshelf. While not all my books fit, you are able to see our coffee table 
All sections are alphabetical by author.
First bookcase :
- borrowed / library / for review
- top of TBR
- Shane’s shelf — may have to claim this soon lol
Second bookcase :
1. favorite series
2 & 3. all other books (that would fit)
Is it odd that I feel a sense of peace knowing my books are safe in their new homes?
I can’t rest if I know my bookshelves are out of order. I’m completely in favor of you taking over Shane’s shelf. My husband doesn’t get a shelf, as his would look quite like your husbands and I would lose my mind.
@ Jennifer : Glad it’s not just me! Oh I probably will steal his shelf soon specially since the shelves are in our living room. But part of the deal with getting the Kindle was that my need to get more bookshelves would slow down lol.
LMAO! Shane’s little shelf looks so… so… what’s the word… cute! It matches my husbands!
My poor hubs. I had him build me a freaking library and my books are already spilling over to his little shelf! I need help!
@ Missie : Hahahaha I’ve decided I’ll need a library whenever we build a home. Getting an eReader has helped with the amount of books taking up space at least
Sweet! I want some new bookshelves. I have two 6 ft tall ones and they are overflowing. Currently my dining room table is housing the extras. I just can’t bare to part with any!

I’ve given away some doubles or ones that I now have on my Kindle, but for the most part I also can’t part with them.

I felt the same way when I got a new bookcase a couple weeks ago. Hubby was just happy that all the books where now on shelves instead of cluttered all over the living room. But it felt so good to see all my books arranged nicely. Just looking at it makes me feel calm. Well, other than the packed-to-the-brim TBR shelf, which makes me feel slightly panicked!

@ Alita : My hubs is very excited that our living room no longer *looks* like a book hoarder lives here lol. Urgh I couldn’t believe how big my TBR and borrowed shelves are! At least now I can see what I need to get read?

@ Stacey : It was! Now I just need to clean off the clutter that had grown up around the books
I think I’m going to rearrange Shane’s shelf so that it holds our magazines (and maybe a few of my books….)
I have always felt really lucky that Richard shares my passion for books. He buys books just as fast (of not faster sometimes) as I do. Now though.. we are seriously running out of space. We are in dire need of new bookshelves too.
